Michael and Michael Have Issues, and on Wednesday July 15th at 10:30pm EST everyone is going to see them all in vivid technicolor. This week Comedy Central begins airing the newest offering from these two Stella members. The show is a behind the scenes viewing of Michael and Michael’s efforts to produce a fictitious, sketch television program. By interweaving footage from their group writing room, office interactions, outside lives, and sample sketches, viewers get a glimpse of both the creative process involved in producing a half hour comedy central style sketch show and their relationship.
To say that their relationship is complicated, is a gross understatement. Their working affiliation ranges from complimentary, to competitive, to downright violent at times. The mixture of these elements produces alchemic effects, certainly presenting abnormally entertaining summer television which will merit repeated viewings to properly distill the multiple layers of comedy built into this half hour program.
Cinemadiving spent some time on the set with Michael and Michael this week attempting to analyze their complex friendship.
