David Wain

David Wain is a writer/director/actor/comedian who was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio.  He attended New York University where he was a founding member of The State. Wain, along with Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter created the comedy troupe Stella which became a Comedy Central show.  David co-wrote/directed the films Wet Hot American Summer, The Ten, and Role Models. He currently has multiple projects underway for television and film.

Matt Walsh

Matt Walsh was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1964.  He attended Northern Illinois University.  Walsh studied with Del Close at the Improv Olympic and was a member of Second City’s Comedy Troupe in Chicago.  He is a founding member of the famed Upright Citizens Brigade improv group and has appeared in numerous films including Old School, Road Trip, School For Scoundrels, Role Models, Semi-Pro, and The Hangover.

Dynamic Duo: Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter

Michael and Michael Have Issues and on Wednesday July 15th at 10:30pm EST everyone is going to see them all in vivid technicolor. This week Comedy Central begins airing the newest offering from these two Stella members.

Michael Showalter

Michael Showalter was born in 1970 and grew up in the Garden State. He attended NYU and Brown Universities for college. While at NYU he became involved in the sketch troupe, The State which began a long writing career with David Wain and Michael Ian Black.

Michael Ian Black

Michael Ian Black was born in Chicago in 1971 and grew up in New Jersey. While attending New York University for college, he and several other classmates started The New Group sketch troupe, which later was renamed The State.

Stephen Belber

Stephen Belber was born in Washington, DC in 1967. He is a graduate of the Julliard Playwriting Program and is the author of numerous plays which have been performed on Broadway, off Broadway, and regionally. The playwright has received commissions from Manhattan Theater Club, Playwrights Horizons, and The Arena Stage.
